It's no secret Miami is the Heart of where Cuban Americans call home, so it's not hard to find Cuban influences everywhere you turn. While driving thru the famous 8th street "Calle Ocho" to be exact, we bumped into The La Carreta Restaurant specializing in Cuban cuisine. What first caught my eye was the very accessible parking, second they had a little cafe area adjacent to the restaurant where you can get shots of espresso and Guava and Cheese pastry, TO DIE FOR. The restaurant offered what they advertised as "The best in cuban dining" didn't disappoint, from the seafood stew or the Lechon Asado (Fried pork with sauteed white onions) & Cuban staples like the Cuban sandwich and what I call medicine for the body.. The Black bean soup are just enough reasons to keep this place in mind if your ever heading around downtown Miami.
