A Couple Days in Paris, France

First time in France and first time in the city of love... Paris. I really didn't know what to expect, all I knew was The Eiffel tower & eating escargots... I took off from JFK airport in New York and 7 hours later landed in CDG (Charles de Gaulle) airport and while Walking through all the signs that read Bienvenue, I just remembered I had to exchange my dollars into euros (Paris does not except the US dollar, but does except Plastic cards). My choice of transportation in Paris besides walking is the RER metro, because it reminded me of the subway system in New York with trains recognized by numbers & letters with their own individual colors, easy fast pace and feeling like a local is the best way to go in this city.

Paris is broken up into Arrondissements (Arrondissements are like districts or towns) and run clockwise from 1 to 20 and if you get lost brush up on your French and ask someone for help, I found everyone to be kind and welcoming contrary to the old stereotypes that surrounded the city. When you think Paris France the Eiffel Tower always comes to mine, but when in Paris the other must see landmarks awaits like the Arc de Triomphe, the Notre Dame Cathedral, de Musee du Louvre (The Mona Lisa Painting can be found there) & the Sacré Coeur just to name a few. If you can make it as a chef here you can make it anywhere, Paris's culinary culture influence is seen & smelled all over the world, and when in Paris you will learn a new word... Boulangerie! which means bakery & these shops are on every other block or corner housing the finest tasting bread, baguettes & croissants around and some shops are starting to include pastries, like macarons and ice cream, which wasn't always the case. Paris has something for everyone, with so much to see and do I will definitely come back and stay longer.
