On the Dutch side of St. Maarten there's plenty to offer and do from shopping & nightlife to gambling and great beaches. Philipsburg is the capital in St. Maarten and on Front Street is where all tourist head to fill their appetite for fine jewelry shops and discounts on liquor from all over. When looking to get that right tan try soaking up on Great bay beach which is nestled in the capital, there is also Mullet bay and Maho beach on Simpson bay. Maho beach is one of the biggest attractions where many come to plant their feet in the sand and watch planes fly over their heads into Princess Juliana airport, you can also watch nearby as you enjoy a burger and beer at the famous Sunset bar & grill. Your trip wouldn't be complete with out trying the local drink of St. Maarten.. the Guavaberry Colada, which is made up of guavaberry, coconut juice and pineapples, it's one of my favorite frozen drinks in all of the Caribbean. Play, Explore & take in everything on this one friendly island!
