Meet Lucy Baker! The Ambient singer, songwriter who is making waves with her indie debut single "Bad Weather" is focused, confident and eager to get to the next stage musically. We got a chance to sit down with Lucy to pick her brain on music, travel & everything else...

1. Where are you originally from?

Lucy: Well, I was born in Montclair, New Jersey, and moved then to Sedona, Arizona, when I was about six years old. I spent about eight years there and then moved to Los Angeles to go to high school. So, I’ve lived here and there!

2. Favorite place to eat where you're originally from? and why?

Lucy: Holsten’s! An american restaurant my parents used to take me to when I was very young. It had these classic retro cherry red swivel stools. Remember it so clearly.

3. What is your current location?

Lucy: I am currently living in Chicago Illinois going to college.

4. How did you go about choosing the excerpts from the movie True Romance for your song Bad Weather? Were you a fan?

Lucy: A total fan. I adore adore adore Alabama Worley (the woman lead). It’s really a fantastic, rushed filled, unique, romance movie. I had to sample the diner speech for Bad Weather.

5. What are some of the artist you looked up musically growing up?

Lucy: Atmosphere. A brilliant band. Their songs and stories have really shaped me and helped me grow into many of the morals I embody as a person today.

6. Do you have to be in a certain mood to write songs or does it just come naturally?

Lucy: I write everyday, I think that’s the beauty of songwriters. I’m not even sure where it comes from in me, but it will definitely always be a constant in my life.

7. Longest flight you've been on?

Lucy: Italy. I think that was about 15 hours or so.

8. Window seat or Aisle?

Lucy: Window!! I always bring my pillow so I can get a snooze in, the window is definitely the way to go.

9. Any new projects in the works?

Lucy: Definitely! I am consistently writing and finishing up new songs. My goal is an album!
